Textiles with Becky Adams
During Becky’s workshops participants were invited to create collaged images using a variety of art techniques and materials such as fabric, paper, and print. Participants developed the collages into functional and decorative items such as postcards, pillowcases, aprons and wall hangings.
Vinyl design with Judy Foote
Judy introduced her groups to the versatility and immediate visual impact of Vinyl, self-adhesive plastic available in an array of colours. The vinyl is fixable to any surface but is very effective when placed on windows, resulting in a stain glass effect. Participants produced designs on the theme of home, locality or imaginary place.
Map making with Holly Davey
With Holly groups explored their local surroundings, inspired by the environmental sights and sounds, participants produced a series of collaged maps using photographs they took of the area. Each map is an abstract expression of memories, locality and the personal journeys we make in life and in dreams.
