Following the success of the Journals project, Womens Arts Association launched Postcards From Home in January 2008, a twelve-month community arts project delivering creative workshops for women across Cardiff.

The project offers women the opportunity to create a collection of artwork for exhibition in response to a sense of place; this could include themes such as home life, local neighbourhoods, the city, an imaginary place or a location from memory.

With the support and guidance of professional artists, Holly Davey, Judy Foote and Becky Adams, women can participate in a range of visual art workshops covering techniques such as collage, textiles, photography, and sculpture.

Workshop activities are designed to give an introduction to the visual arts as well as incorporate the interests of participating groups. The sessions run weekly over a period of 15 weeks, are free to attend and are held in accessible buildings, with provision of crèche facilities, translators and refreshments.
